Doyle Brunson

Doyle Brunson is quite of an idol to me because of his many skills in pokerplaying. He was born in Longworth Texas in August 10, 1933. He was the first pokerplayer to earn over a million dollars in poker tournaments. He has won ten bracelets from the world series of poker. Doyle Brunson, also called Texas Dolly, has written a book about poker from the mind of an elite pokerplayer teaching the people how to play like a professional pokerplayer. It’s called the bible of poker and is very helpful to a lot of pokerplayers out there. I have personally read this book a couple of times and the book is amazing. Doyle Brunson has played for so many years that he is one of the most famous players in the world of poker. He is called a legend in many cases in the poker world. When he was young he played a lot of basketball and ran until he suffered a knee injury at his summer job. After that he had to have casket for 2 years because that the bone was broken in two places and was slow on the healing. Still today he might need crutches sometimes. He wouldn’t be able to either run nor play basketball. So he focused on his studies instead. While he was in school he played poker and was able to pay for the school with the money he won in pokergames. In 1962 Doyle married a woman named Louise. They have four children together. The children are named Todd, Pam, Cheryl and Doyla. A big tragedy occurred in his life when his daughter Doyla passed away at eighteen years of age. She died because she had a lot of problems with her heart and Doyle still thinks about her every day and probably will for the rest of his life. Doyle Brunson is a man that’s very competitive and likes to bet on a lot of things. One time he even bet a million dollar that he would be able to loose 50 kilograms of his weight. That was one bet that he won.
